Quinoa Oatmeal*
Ingredients :
4 cups water
1/2cup quinoa
1 teaspoon coconut oil
1 cup steel-cut oats
1/2 cup almond milk
+
1 spoon of chia seed
Method
1. Prepared heated up the water until boiling2. Put the quinoa in a strainer and rinse that, because it isn’t bitter after cook. 3. Heated the oil over medium heat, added the oats and stirred them around until smell kind of toasty. About 2 mins. 4. Added the quinoa and the hot water and bring it all to a boil. Once it is boiling, turn down the heat on the pot and let it simmer uncovered. It cooks for 10-15mins
5. Added the almond milk and turn off the heat. Put chai seed and frozen fruits too.
Side dish: toasted bread and peanut butter, lettuce and sliced banana. DONE.
Review
I made mistake about I didn’t cook the quinoa perfectly, I thought it was already cooked. Cause, the Oat was too small and very thin. So I didn’t think it was good combination. So, I re-made quinoa only for next breakfast.
And I searched more information about quinoa , Re-make only quinoa
1/2 cups of Quinoa and 1 1/2 cups of water
Rinsed the quinoa Put the water and heated up until boiling. When it boiled, turned down the heat low, and cooked 13mins. (I was put too much water…) DONE.
